Gob Squad work collectively, without a director, on the concept, design, devising and performing of their work. Permanent members of the group are Johanna Freiburg, Sean Patten, Berit Stumpf, Sarah Thom, Bastian Trost and Simon Will.
Other artists are invited to collaborate on particular projects.

  

Four Gob Squad performers, in four identical hotel rooms, spend a lonely, sleepless night. Their only company is a telephone and a video-camera. Unable to fall asleep, they kill time fighting boredom and their phobias. Settled in the hotel conference room, the audience watches them on four television screens. From time to time, one of the perfomers picks up a telephone that connects them to the audience, begging for help to make it through the night...
